Vanilla

Some recipes call for vanilla extract, while others call for vanilla beans.  Vanilla extract can be found at most grocery stores.  Make sure you are getting pure vanilla extract, not imitation vanilla.  I was only able to find vanilla beans locally for an exorbitant price.  However, I found them at a reasonable price online:

Vanilla Vodka

My recipe for homemade vanilla vodka is available here.

Vermouth

Vodka

I typically use Skyy Vodka for infusions, and Ketel One for cocktails.
